Masuma timing belts are manufactured from hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) with a high acrylonitrile content. This premium-grade elastomer offers exceptional resistance to aggressive environments—including oil, fuel, ozone, and high temperatures—while providing outstanding mechanical strength and durability.
Each Masuma timing belt is reinforced with high-modulus fiberglass cords featuring optimized stiffness and a special weave pattern. This reinforcement ensures excellent tensile strength, prevents elongation, and guarantees dimensional stability throughout the entire service life.
The belt teeth are coated with ribbed nylon (polyamide PA66), a strong synthetic polymer with a low coefficient of friction. This advanced coating reduces tooth wear during contact with pulleys, ensures smooth engagement, and delivers quiet operation.
