Masuma brushless fuel pumps utilize a BLDC (Brushless DC) motor design with no brushes or mechanical commutators. Instead, electronic control circuitry delivers current directly to the stator windings, replacing the mechanical switching system found in traditional brushed motors.
- The rotor shaft is made of durable GCr15 bearing steel for high wear resistance.
- The pumps feature solid-lubricated bearings that resist fuel washout, ensuring longer service life.
- The impeller is precision-molded under high pressure from PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) engineered plastic, manufactured by Japan Polymer Corporation and Solvay. It retains its shape in gasoline and organic solvents at temperatures up to 250 °C.
- The exterior is protected by a robust corrosion-resistant aluminum housing made from ADC-6 alloy.
